                                                    - Anne Fitzpatrick 'Nan'

 

Anne Fitzpatrick is an artist/designer and resides in Boston, Palm Beach and Osterville where she maintains a studio. Her work includes painting, photo montage, video, photography, projections and creating interior designed environments. She was invited as a Visiting Artist at the American Academy in Rome, is an archived artist at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in DC and Diploma Program at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Anne sits on the board of the New York Chapter of Save Venice, Inc. She is an Advisor and Contemporary Cornerstone Chairperson at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Huntington Theatre Company, and MIT List Museum/List Presenter. She is also a Patron at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, The Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston, the Flagler Museum, Palm Beach and the Norton Museum, Palm Beach where she is also a Member of the Norton Museum Photography Committee.

She is a past Member of the International Council of the Teatro Real in Madrid, Spain, PathNorth, Washington, DC, the American Federation of the Arts, New York, NY, Board member of the Boston Chapter of Save Venice, Inc. for more than twenty years and advisor at the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, Lincoln, MA for seven years. She is also a past member of the Harvard School of Public Health/Nutrition Roundtable for more than ten years, Fashion Council at the Museum of Fine Arts eight years, The Emerald Necklace Conservancy for twenty years, and the Theatre Workshop of Nantucket Council for more than six years.

Anne is and has been involved with many not-for-profit organizations and has served on a variety of corporate and professional association boards and committees. She has had the opportunity to contribute personally with her time and resources, including the Anne H. Fitzpatrick Facade at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and has found this work and experience extremely rewarding. Performing arts, preservation, public art, and public health are areas she is passionate about and has continuously supported as it nurtures both one’s creativity and opens a conversation while providing a balance and respite within the communities she resides.
