Celebrating Together by Anne Fitzpatrick

On June 11, 2024, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum hosted a remarkable evening celebrating the unveiling of On Christopher Street: Transgender Portraits by Mark Seliger and Possession of a Recalcitrant Dream by Hakeem Adewumi on the Anne H. Fitzpatrick Facade.

Guests enjoyed inspiring remarks from Peggy Fogelman, curatorial insights from Adrienne Chaparro, and engaging programming in Calderwood Hall. The event was a powerful tribute to art's role in fostering visibility and community, leaving attendees deeply moved and inspired.

From October 3, 2023, to February 6, 2024, the Anne H. Fitzpatrick Façade showcased Carla Fernández’s Tradition Is Not Static.

This powerful piece celebrated the living nature of tradition, blending Mexican textile heritage with bold, contemporary design. It stood as a vibrant reminder of how creativity bridges past and present, inspiring all who saw it.

On October 17, 2023, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum hosted a special preview of Inventing Isabella, featuring Fabiola Jean-Louis: Rewriting History in the Fenway Gallery and Carla Fernández: Tradition Is Not Static on the Anne H. Fitzpatrick Façade.

The Declaration of Interdependence by Anne Fitzpatrick

Natalie Jeremijenko’s Declaration of Interdependence graced the Anne H. Fitzpatrick Façade from June 13 to October 3, 2023.

This groundbreaking installation was the first living artwork featured in the space, blending the Gardner Museum’s signature nasturtiums with a broader urban ecosystem.
